El-Loc 43 is resistant to mineral oils, synthetic oils, lubricating grease, fuels, organic solvents and coolant additives, cold and hot water. El-Liq 74 (orange) is used on torsion-resistant metal flanges, such as die-cast housings or pumps and has a higher viscosity than El-Liq 73. El-Liq 73 (yellow-green) is suitable for non-positive connections on metallic components, such as housing and bearing covers, and for flange connections in engine, gearbox and power unit manufacture. El-Liq 73 replaces all kinds of flange seals.
El-Loc 70 (turquoise-green) is suitable for all metal threaded connections (up to M20) subject to impact loading (including high grade alloy steel), for example stud bolts in engines or pumps. El-Loc 43 (blue) is suitable for all metal thread seals (up to M36) and prevents loosening due to vibration, for example in gearboxes and engines. After installation with EL-Add 48 / EL-Fil 77 / EL-Liq 73 / EL-Liq 74 / EL-Loc 70 / EL-Loc 43, recommissioning is possible after 3-6 hours.
First remove residues of the old sealant from the surface. Coarse residues can be removed extremely effectively with hot air (approx. 250°C) and a brush. Finer residues should be removed with a cloth and ideally with isopropyl (isopropyl alcohol) or brake cleaner.
